Mr Peter Cameron is a commercial, regulatory, strategy, planning and training expert in international energy and utility sectors, over 25 years industry experience including long term utility assignments in Argentina, Colombia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Central Asia, Ukraine, Spain, Turkey and the UK, plus consultancy projects throughout the world. He is also a lecturer in business strategy for the Middlesex University (UK) oil and gas MBA.
He has acted as Project Director, Team Leader and industry Expert for donor funded and private sector funded projects throughout the world. He has a record for influencing national authorities and international institutions, and introducing change.
Peter’s main expertise is in advising companies (private and state) and governments on the commercial, economic and regulatory aspects of downstream energy projects. This includes leading and managing professional inter-disciplinary teams (engineers, lawyers, accountants, financial advisers etc.), working equally in the private and public sector. His commercial and regulatory expertise covers economic analysis, market and feasibility studies, contracts, energy and petroleum law, tariffs, with gas, gas to power, electricity markets, renewable energy and various petroleum products (including biofuels, LPG, gas to liquids, oil transportation, oil law).
He has advised on privatisations and acquisitions worldwide, leading due diligence studies, market studies and investment promotions. He has advised the European Commission in Brussels on aspects of the European gas industry.
Peter received a BA (Honours) in Medieval English and History in 1981 and an MBA in International Business from the University of Bradford in 1985. He speaks Spanish and French. Peter has had published two books on the energy sector, 15 articles and presented at 17 international conferences.
